iPad Memory Storage Upgrade is available

iPad Upgrade Storage Service Malaysia

Running out of storage on your iPad can be frustrating and may even slow down performance. Instead of replacing the entire device, we can upgrade your iPad’s storage right here in Malaysia.

We’ve been providing storage upgrade services for many years, initially working only with dealers and distributors. Now, we’re extending this service to walk-in customers so everyone can enjoy the same benefits.

Upgrading an iPad’s storage requires advanced micro-soldering skills and specialized programming tools. As a motherboard repair service center in KL, fully equipped with the right tools, this process is a routine job for us.

We replace the NAND flash chip inside the motherboard using parts from the same top suppliers Apple uses. The chips we install are original and reliable.

FAQs

No, there won’t be any issues.

We’ve been upgrading iPhones and iPads for many years, and the upgraded devices continue to work perfectly. You can still update iOS, erase the device, or restore it without any problems.

There are zero side effects from the storage upgrade when done properly.

Upgrading an iPad’s storage typically takes 1–2 working days. Unlike iPhones, which can be opened and reassembled with a screwdriver, iPads are sealed with strong adhesive.

To open an iPad safely, we use a specialized machine to separate the screen without causing damage. During reassembly, we apply a new adhesive and allow several hours for it to fully cure to ensure a tight, dust-free seal.

If someone claims they can complete an iPad upgrade within a few hours, it usually means the work is poorly done — this often results in:

  • Loose or misaligned screens

  • Dust or fingerprints trapped inside

  • Missing screws or weak seals

We take the extra time to ensure your iPad is properly reassembled and maintains its original build quality.

Yes, we provide a one-month warranty for our storage upgrade service.

However, this warranty does not cover issues related to the LCD screen, buttons, or camera.

The warranty period is limited to one month because we cannot control how clients use or handle their devices after the upgrade. Improper handling or using incompatible chargers can cause damage. This is why we thoroughly test all functions and inspect the motherboard before returning your device.

That said, if there’s a genuine issue with the upgraded storage after a few months, we may still honor the warranty on a case-by-case basis, provided that:

  • The device has not been tampered with, and

  • Our warranty seals remain intact.

Yes, please make sure to back up your own data before bringing in your device, as we will need to reformat and update it during the upgrade.
This also means you should remove any passwords and log out of iCloud beforehand.

If you would like us to handle the data backup for you, we can provide this service for an additional RM50.
Please note that the process will take 2–3 working days, as our systems are currently at full capacity and may not be able to handle immediate backup and transfer.

Don’t worry — before starting the upgrade, we thoroughly check all functions of your device to ensure everything is working properly.

If any issue occurs during our process, we will take full responsibility and resolve it at no additional cost to you.

It’s possible because Apple doesn’t manufacture its own memory chips.
The storage inside an iPad uses NAND flash chips, which are supplied by top brands like Toshiba, SanDisk, Hynix, and Samsung — the same suppliers Apple uses.

These manufacturers provide developer tools and software, which we legally purchase along with the original parts. Using these tools, we can perform advanced upgrades that Apple service centers typically don’t offer.

However, this process requires high-level professional skills to safely remove, program, and reinstall the NAND chip onto the iPad’s motherboard.

This service is possible because it’s rare and highly specialized. Very few workshops are willing to invest in expensive tools or pay for professional training required to perform storage upgrades safely.

Additionally, Apple itself performs similar NAND replacements when refurbishing its own devices. We simply use the same approach with original-quality parts and tools.
